Whose side are you on? Do you agree with Donald Trump and want to give Rosie what for? Would you like to give the Donald a piece of your mind but can’t actually get to him? Now you can get at either one of them on the new game by GSN.com.

Called Rosie vs. Trump, the game has the two slugging it out. Kick Rosie until magazines fall out. Punch Donald Trump and have money pop out. Rosie yells stuff like “You’re a hot bag of wind with bad hair” and Donald Trump replies with stuff like “You’re a mental midget”. Press the spacebar to make use of their special moves – Rosie uses her tongue to lash the Donald while Trump uses his comb over hair to get even.

No matter who you choose, you’ll have Barbara Walters cheering you on with signs going “Go Rosie” or “Go Trump”. Miss USA, Tara Connor, is also part of the game with a bottle of champagne that she shakes and waves around.

Tom and Jerry, The Flinstones, Josie and The Pussycats, Scooby Doo, The Smurfs…These are but a few of the legacy left behind by animation giant, Joseph Barbera. He passed away this week at the age of 95.

Joseph Barbera’s creations have entertained millions the world over. They made Saturday mornings the best time for kids. Joseph Barbera and his partner William Hanna together produced hundreds of thousands of shows since the 1940′s. They were pioneers in television animation.

Barbera was a great animator. He used to draw and paint each individual piece of celluloid film that was used in the Tom and Jerry Show, the cartoon that won them several Oscars. He also thought up most of the dialogue for the characters. He had many ideas and was constantly coming up with new plots and characters, long after Hanna-Barbera had been bought by Turner -  which  became Cartoon Network - and later purchased by Time Warner.

No matter though who owns the creations, the cartoons that Joseph Barbera and his partner brought to life will never be forgotten. He, and William Hanna, will truly be missed.

Oprah has two new projects in the works. Her latest venture: feel good reality TV. The shows are titled “Oprah Winfrey’s Big Give” and “Your Money or Your Life” and will be produced by Harpo and ABC.

“Oprah Winfrey’s Big Give” is all about charity. The shows 10 participants are given money (and resources) which they have to increase. They have to be creative and ingenuous in order to mulitply the amount they have. The amount that they raise is given to others. As with most reality shows, one contestant is elminated each week. The winner gets his or her wildest dream granted.

“Your Money or Your Life” on the other hand features family in crisis. A team of experts will be coming in to help each family as they try to change in order to avert disaster; that in itself is already a gift to the family.

The point of these reality TV shows is changing lives for the better and making wishes come true. Oprah is just opening up more shows that will hopefully help people and still make great TV. There is word yet on whether Oprah will do the actual hosting for either show.

Dancing.jpg

It promises to be a great show on Dancing With The Stars. It was great fun watching the celebrities have a great time and shine on the dance floor. It was definitely great entertainment. In fact, they were a surprise in the ratings, ranking below only three other shows: Grey’s Anatomy, Desperate Housewives and CSI.

Tonight is the last night of the competition. It is down to the final two pairs in this show. Who will be the winner of this season? Will it be Actor-TV Host Mario Lopez and Karina Smirnoff or will it be NFL’s Emmitt Smith and Cheryl Burke?

Mario Lopez is best remembered by most for his role as A.C. Slater from Saved By The Bell – which hasn’t been an advantage with the judges. He is however the best technical dancer of this batch’s competitors. His dimples are a built in advantage for him though they can’t guarantee him a win.

Emmitt Smith is better known for his prowess as running back on the football field. He has however surprised the audience, the judges and himself with his dancing abilities. The football player turned out to be a natural dancer. He is really smooth!
Mario has the advantage of being young, agile and sexy. Emmitt has a natural charm, good rhythm and a partner who complements him well. Cheryl Burke does her best to make them look great together as a pair, a skill that only the best dancers have. Of course she is also the partner of last season’s winner, Drew Lachey so this just shows that she truly is talented.

Want to know who wins? Tune in and watch the show.

90210.jpg

It has been over a decade since their show first went on air but it has apparently not lost any of its charm. Before there was One Tree Hill or The OC, there was Beverly Hills 90210 and though the show may no longer be running on air, it is now available on DVD.

The party for the release of the first season’s DVD was attended by Gabriel Carteris, Jennie Garth, Brian Austin Green, Jason Priestly, Tori Spelling and Ian Ziering. They had originally thought of skipping the launch since none of them stood to gain anything from the DVD’s (their contracts didn’t anticipate DVD’s) but were convinced by Ian Ziering to show up after they all met up for lunch. As Jennie Garth put it, “I wanted to support the show that gave me all I have this day. I didn’t want to be the one who didn’t come.”
The only missing members of the original cast were Shannen Doherty who played Brenda Walsh and Luke Perry who played Dylan. Too bad they didn’t go! It would have been nice to have them all together.
Everyone looked great. The men looked fit and the women looked very well endowed – at least Tori Spelling and Jenni Garth did. It is most likely due to the fact that Tori Spelling is five months pregnant and Jennie Garth recently gave birth to a daughter, her third child with husband Peter Facinelli.

The party also launched the release of the first season of the 90210 spin-off, Melrose Place.

Sara Evans.jpg

Country singer Sara Evans was one of 11 celebrities chosen to partner professional dancers in the third season of the show “Dancing With The Stars”. Just when it looked like she was doing better, she suddenly quit the show leaving her partner high and dry.

Why the abrupt departure? The singer apologized to the network, ABC, and to her fans who have been very supportive of her. She announced that she had filed for her divorce from husband, Craig Schelske, ending her marriage of 13 years. She felt that she now needed to devote her time to her kids who are aged 7, 3 and 2.

Evans says that she filed for divorce because Schelske cheated on her, excessively drank and watched porn in their home. She also said that he has pictures of himself having sex with other women. Plus he also used their computer to watch more porn and access the internet to find and solicit sex with multiple partners.

Speakers for Schelske’s camp says that Schleske was taken completely off guard by the accusations and would prefer not to discuss this with the media. He said he has decided to forgive Sara and her publicity team for this. He says that they had struggled to come to terms with the changes in Sara over the past year as she dramatically became a different person. He says they failed to deal with it and all he can do is ask people to please pray for her and for his family in this difficult time.

To bad that their laundry couldn’t be handled more discreetly. It would have been nice if Sara Evans could have kept on dancing but everyone does understand that family comes before anything else.

Paris and Nicole.JPG

Looks like Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake aren’t the only ones making up again. Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie seem to have buried the hatchet. The two were spotted having dinner together at Dan Tana’s, a West Hollywood restaurant. Paris drove them over to the restaurant where they were seen talking and laughing non-stop. They also left together in Paris’ car. In fact, Nicole Ritchie was seen leaving Paris Hilton’s home the next day apparently after a sleepover.

Hilton and Ritchie recently agreed to shoot another season of the Simple Life. This time they will be camp counselors. Producer Jon Murray says that the stars of Simple Life will be exploring what led to the breakdown in their friendship and maybe clear up even more of the misunderstandings.

Whether it is just for show, publicity or indeed a true rekindling of their friendship, the pair is back in each other’s company and about to be back on TV.

Maybe Americans have finally gotten bored with Hollywood’s Barbie doll perfection in its stars – skinny, with perfect skin and designer clothes that look great on TV but couldn’t be further from what most people actually look like (unless you live in L.A, that is).

Because, the most popular new show on US television today is about someone who clearly isnt skinny, well-dressed or with great hair or skin. Its Ugly Betty, and everybody loves her, scoring higher in the ratings than any other new programme this season.

The ABC show, which is based on a Columbian telenovela, features America Ferrera, a plain jane from Queens trying to make it big in the fashion world. It got 16.1 Million people watching on its debut night.

The budding Latina star first made her mark in the HBO film “Real Women Have Curves”.? Heres what she had to say about being pegged as a “Latina actress”:

“I grew up in her (mother’s) office so I’ve seen these women. They are trying to survive…My mother was skeptical but I got a waitress job to pay for my classes, pictures and other expenses.”

“I taped an audition and sent it back but I didn’t expect anything….I was immediately attracted to the character because I’ve been experiencing similar things in my own life. As a first-generation Latina, the constant question is ‘Are you Latin or are you American’?”

“I never even saw myself as Latina until I started to audition for roles, but I could relate to the economics of my character’s situation as well as to the image issue. Caring about your appearance is universal. I know 45 year old women who still hate their bodies. There are no magazines that say ‘love who you are on the inside first, and worry about the outside later’.”

Anyone who watched RockStar:Supernova‘s finale last night will agree that the obvious favourite of the band was the young Toronto native, Lukas Rossi.

After his electrifying performances of Cold Play’s “Fix You” and his original broody accoustic compsition “Headspin”, judges and audience alike were showering the black nailed rocker with glowing compliments like the devlish Dave Navarro saying that he’d pay good money to watch Lukas perform, to G n’ R guitarist’s Clarke calling it “fearless” and Tommy Lee’s “Cooler than hell”.

With Paula Abdul’s standing ovation and a frenzied audience, one would wonder why a small (?) but significant peice of news did not hamper the party atmosphere – that Clarke, Lee and Newsted’s band was BANNED from being called Supernova.

This was due to the band’s “original” members/owners, Mitchell, Lawerence and Collins sued CBS, Mark Burnett productions and the famous trio from using the name in every capacity saying that it was still in their posession, meaning that whoever Burnett and co bought it from was a fake.

So the question to ask perhaps is not whether Lukas does wins the coveted lead role, but what’s the band called?

While in Rome filming a series of commercials for Sky TV Italia, Nicole Kidman was barred from filming her scene as angry residents stopped filming before cameras rolled because they wanted more money.

The commercial was to portray Nicole as a resident of their building, 41 Via Vespucci in the Testaccio neighborhood of Rome. Disguised as an Italian housewife, she tells an Italian boy to “never stop dreaming” – the tagline of the pay-tv company.

When residents (280 of them) discovered it was bella Nicole gracing their building, they angrily stormed down into the courtyard where the crew was peacefully about to begin – and said that the paltry ?6,000 fee agreed by the building manager was like ” a plate of lentils”.

They then hotly argued that their compensation for the 5 days shooting should be increased, and in the end won the settlement to the tune of ?25,000.

Throughout the Fellini-esque meyhem, eyewitnesses say that the ethereal Nicole lay ensconced in her trailer apparently unaffected by the noisy goings-on – only to glide out after the dispute, glowingly greeting the financially-savvy residents in effortless Italian.
