Speculation has been running high for weeks on whether Naomi Watts is pregnant. No one from the camp of the star of King Kong and Mulholland Drive however has come forward to confirm the rumors til Monday night. Watt’s boyfriend, Liev Schreiber, himself did so on the Conan O’Brien show.

Even if Schreiber hadn’t said anything though, it was already pretty obvious. As she stepped out on the red carpet at the Oscars with Nicole Kidman, the yellow Escada gown she had on lovingly traced the shape of her baby bump. The dress designer himself spilled the beans about it saying, “The Escada gown set off her most precious new asset - the baby she is expecting with longtime boyfriend Liev Schreiber.”

Schriber says that he is excited to be a dad and will definitely not name his son Liev as it is one of the most mispronounced names in history. This is their first child together and Watts was very excited that her baby got to attend the Oscars, even as an embryo.

In just a few short hours, it is time for Hollywood’s most awaited event, the Oscars. It is the most coveted trophy by film makers, actors and actresses and Oscar fever has been in the air for the last couple of weeks.

The red carpet of the Oscars is one of the most awaited fashion moments. Dress designers have offered up their unique creations hoping that their outfit will be the one chosen by the men and women who will walk down this very special runway. Among those likely to dress the stars are Georgio Armani, Chanel, Christian LaCroix, just to name a few.

This year’s host is Ellen Degeneres. Looks like they are hoping for a lighter show this time around than that delivered by Chris Rock or Jon Stewart. Let’s hope she brings more fun to this night than the previous years.

Yes, you read right. Donald has said that he wants to build a mausoleum where he and his family can be buried at the golf course. He specificaly wants to place it at his New Jersey golf course. The Donald says that if approval is given by the state and local boards, he’ll set it up to the right of the first hole of the course.

The planning board and state officials said that they’ve never received an application to build a museum on golf grounds before. The Donald says he understands and knows that approval may take time. He said that in the meantime, it can be a wedding chapel. They’ll simply transform it later if approval comes through.

Michael Jackson has his place in history. He is considered the King of pop music. He brought a whole new sound, style of dancing and pioneered some of the most creative music videos. He is indeed a talented artist who can be considered a legend.

Jackson is also famous for his many off stage problems, most of them involving children. He has been sued a number of times on child molestation charges which so far have all been proven false but has definitely put a damper on his career.

Now, the singer is being charged by a dead woman’s family. The children of Manuela Gomez Ruiz claim that his visit to Marian Medical Center resulted in chaos and a circus like atmosphere which was definitely detrimental to the recovery of their mother who had suffered a heart attack. According to them, their mother had been placed on life suport in a two bed trauma room. They insist that their mother was hurriedly taken off life support and improperly cared for just to give way to the pop star who suffered from flu like symptoms. Please note that all of this happened two years ago, during the time that Jackson was on trial for molestation.

As far as the hospital is concerned, it is just a ploy to make money. In a written statement they say that, “Patient care and safety is always our first priority at Marian. As such, we are confident the care provided to Mrs. Ruiz was exceptional.”

While attending an AIDS charity benefet at the Koko Club in London, Kelly Osborne revealed that a member of her family has AIDS. Osborne says that taking part in the charity is a very important to her because of this and that she is very proud of her relative. She did not specify who it was though she did say it was a male.

Kelly Osborne and her mom Sharon have both been involved with various HIV charities. It is only now however that any personal motivation behind their decision to support the campaign has come to light. Kelly Osborne was looked very emotional and tearful as she made her revelation.

Britney Spears has been trying very hard to stay in the public eye. She knows that being seen around about or in the papers, tabloids and gossip rags that the papparazzi work for or supply pictures too. Britney has been seen without her knickers while out on the town with Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan, dancing and stripping at various Las Vegas clubs and now, she has gone bald.

Yes it was a surprise to almost everybody. No one expected the pop princess to go and get rid of her hair. It is a very drastic move and it makes Britney appear very stressed.

Britney’s new look was discovered when she was on her way to the “Body and Soul” tattoo shop. Britney had two tattoos placed. The first one is on her wrist and the other on her lower hip.

People are wondering if she is close to having a nervous breakdown. She’s been acting wild since she filed for divorce. It sure looks that way to her fans.

Talk about irony, last year’s Grammy Awards show suffered in the ratings because their network chose to pit the show in a head to head battle with American Idol. This year they opted to taje another time slot which was great and they had their own little Americon Idol like competition. They called it My Grammy Moment and the winner got to perform on stage with Justin Timberlake at this year’s Grammys. Here’s where the irony comes in: the winner of the My Grammy Winner is an American Idol reject.

As the winner, Robyn Troup did get her moment of fame with Sexy Back Star Timberlake on Sunday. On Tuesday the episode of American Idol which was taped before the Grammys aired showing that she was rejected by American Idol.

Take heart though Robyn. Being rejected by the judges of American Idol does not mean the end of your career. Look at Jennifer Hudson. She beat out her American Idol batchmate and winner Fantasia Barino for the part that gave her her Golden Globe and her Oscar.

Another superhero appears in Hollywood. Definitely no stranger but played by a new face. It’s another remake or revival of a classic TV series. The superhero is Bionic Woman and the title role of Jamie Sommers goes to Michelle Ryan.

Michelle Ryan is a British actress best known for her role in the British TV series “Eastenders”. She was with the show for 5 years until she left the production in 2005.

Bionic Woman was a spin off of the TV show “The Six Million Dollar Man” which starred Lee Majors. It ran from 1976 to 1978 with Lindsay Wagner playing the title role. The character, Jamie Sommers, was a tennis player who suffered severe injuries in an accident. Her limbs and her ear were replaced with hi-tech robotic parts - yes, she was technically a cyborg. Bionic Woman can run very fast and lift cars, thanks to her cybernetic pieces.

Used to be when a movie doesn’t do well in the box office, production houses shrug their shoulders and move on to the next film. Apparently those days are gone. Now they sue the author of the book on which they based the movie - at least that’s what mogul Philip Anschutz has done.

Anschutz has taken Clive Cussler to court over the disappointing results of the production “Sahara“. He says that Cussler did not live up to his side of the contract. Cussler publicly put down the movie causing viewers to lose interest in the film and he also exaggerated how many copies of the book were actually sold. All of this resulting in the poor performance of the film.

Cussler has countersued. He says that Anchutz did not follow his recommendations in either script revision or casting. He also says that the poor performance of the film reflects badly on his other works.

In reality we all know that one has little effect on the other. Many books are great but translate poorly into films just as the good performance of a film does not guarantee instant popularity of any book though it can boost its ratings a bit.

So who is reaping the benefit of all this? The lawyers. No matter who wins, the lawyers will bring home very fat paychecks.

In an unexpected turn of events, Anna Nicole Smith passed away on Thursday. She leaves behind the unresolved question: who is the real father of her baby, Dannielyn Hope Marshall Stern?

Before her death, two men claimed to have fathered Anna Nicole’s baby. The first was Howard K. Stern, her lawyer and with whom she had a commitment ceremony. It is his name that is listed on the baby’s birth certificate as father.

The second man claiming fatherhood is Larry Birkhead. He was a photographer who worked with Smith in a number of shoots. He filed a paternity suit which was why Smith was in Florida. Smith refused to allow her baby’s DNA to be extracted and the suit is still pending.

Now two more men have come forward claiming that they fathered her baby. The third man is Prince Frederick von Anhalt, the husband of actress Zsazsa Gabor. The other claimant has not been named but sources say that he was a former gym trainor of Smith.

Even though Anna Nicole Smith has passed away, the controversy continues. Who is the true daddy of Dannielynn Hope? We will have to wait and see a bit longer.
